‘I have always enjoyed reading H.H. the Dalai Lama’s books and watching his interviews. In parallel, my fascination with the Tibetan culture has been fuelled by collaborations with Tibet-related institutions, on a wide range of projects, over the past ten years.
When our son was born I realized that I could not find, amongst all the children books available to us, any book that would convey the Dalai Lama’s beautiful, simple, warm-hearted words of wisdom that I so enjoy.
I wanted our son to be able to come in contact with the Dalai Lama’s wisdom in a way that would be fun and easy for him to understand. I then thought of other kids who might also enjoy such a book. So, together with my husband, Dominik Czartoryski, and an amazing group of friends, we set out to create this book, and H.H. the Dalai Lama kindly agreed to write its foreword. The book then got the support of several organizations and institutions, including the Tibetan government-in-exile, distributing it freely to Tibetan libraries and schools around the world.
I hope that many children will enjoy our book and learn from it, for their benefit and that of all of us.’
